L'oreal warehouse Sale in Toronto
I guess after the one in Montreal, it's time for the one in Toronto now.

I didn't get much since I don't really need anything there and they didn't have the moisturizer that I wanted so bleh.
Nail Polish yay, the L'oreal ones are 1.85$CAN each and the MaybeLine were 1.50$ i think. I keep buying them without using until they expire aha. I'm really bad at applying nail polish and my nails are short and fat so it looks really funny. I'll show you next time.
Other things: Lancome Juicy Tube Collection $22CAN, another obsession of mine is buying lipbalms/ tinted lip pots and lip glosses. I'll never be able to use them all my life but I can't help it sigh. Ohh and mascara, everytime I go to this sale I stock up and end up having 2937874 of them. =____= I'm like it's only 3$ for a 2 pack so why not? The green box is the L'oreal HIP eyeliner, they only had green. I tried it at home at I look like a monster.
+ All other skincare and perfumes , all my mom's stuff. It's ridicilous how you can reach the buying limit there!Beauty products are truly expensive.

Ebay Buys Gmarket
SEOUL -- EBay Inc. cleared its acquisition of South Korean rival Gmarket Inc. with antitrust authorities by promising to help small- and mid-size companies sell products online, executives said Thursday as the deal was formally announced.
EBay will pay up to $1.2 billion for Gmarket, depending on how many Gmarket shareholders agree to sell their shares. The deal combines South Korea's two largest e-commerce web sites by subscribers and revenue.
Because of antitrust concerns, the firms took the unusual step of seeking approval from the Korea Fair Trade Commission shortly after they began talks last August. The agency approved the combination in September.
At the announcement, eBay's Asia chief Jay Lee said the company promised the government agency that it would take several measures to boost the access of small- and mid-sized firms to its websites, including those in 38 other countries. "South Korean small and medium-sized companies are competitive, but it's hard for them to export their products because of the language barrier or lack of other support," Mr. Lee said.
Mr. Lee said eBay would continue to run the two e-commerce sites, Gmarket and Internet Auction Co., separately.
The acquisition turned on an agreement eBay reached earlier this week with Gmarket's controlling shareholders, Interpark Corp. and its chairman Lee Ki-hyong, who accepted a per-share price of $24, about a 50% premium over the trading range of Gmarket shares last month.
In announcing the final terms, eBay said it would attempt to buy all 50.3 million shares of Gmarket, which is based in Seoul but traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market in the U.S. At the time of the announcement, executives said they'd secured deals to buy 67% of the outstanding shares, including the 34% controlled by Interpark and Mr. Lee and 10% owned by Yahoo Inc. of the U.S.
Shares in Gmarket closed at $19.95, up 3%, in Nasdaq trading on Wednesday.
If all the shares are tendered, the $1.2 billion deal would mark the eighth-largest acquisition of a Korean company by a foreign one, according to Thomson Reuters, just beating the $1.17 billion Lone Star Funds of Texas spent to acquire Korea Exchange Bank in 2003.

Urban Outfitter's version of AA's melange skirt
I Love Urban Outfitters but the prices of most pieces is out of my range. Last thursday after my last class for this semester, I met up with a friend to go window shopping and we walked from Concordia towards Mc Gill and stopped by UO. And there I saw so many cute skirts and many other things that I want to have *__* but most of them are minimum 50$ for a simple skirt *sigh*. When it's on sale there's nothing good left at UO I find.

Boutique Olivia
Olivia Boutique is a small shop at Peel,and it is one of my favourite 'secret' (well not anymore because it has become pretty popular) shop in Montreal. The clothing are very cute and asian style yet trendy but different from other mainstream shops. I don't know how to describe it. It's just different. I am sure the designers took ideas from korean and asian fashion in general XD.

Forever21 opening in Montreal!
Good news for Montrealers, F21 will open it's door in Montreal this year. One in Complexe Les Ailes and the other on St. Catherine street. It is about time, I'm so excited!H&M & F21 & Zara on the same street, what can you ask for more?

Montrealers' sense of style could be the city's saving grace during the current economic crunch, commercial real estate and retail experts suggested yesterday.
Top names in the clothing business have set up shop around town or will be moving here this year.
"Montreal is a very desirable and vibrant city for retailers," Jeff Berkowitz, president of Aurora Realty Consultants Inc., said yesterday. "There's a lot of growth potential despite the economy."
In March, one of Berkowitz's clients, Los Angeles-based Forever 21, is taking possession of the prime Ste. Catherine St. location of the former Archambault music store as well as an adjoining space on the métro level in Complexe Les Ailes.
Johanne Marcotte, general manager of Complexe Les Ailes, confirmed the "excellent news" about Forever 21 and added: "We will help them open as soon as possible."
"These guys are on fire, they're one of the hottest retail brands in the U.S. right now," Berkowitz said of the California company that sells what it advertises as "cheap, fun and fast apparel and accessories aimed at teens and college kids."
Forever 21's 18,000- to 19,000-square-foot Complexe Les Ailes location in the heart of downtown is expected to open in time for this year's back to school rush.
Another store will open in the Champlain Mall in Brossard by the end of the year.
And in the spring of 2010, the company is taking over the three-floor, 30,000-square-foot Gap store location at the corner of Ste. Catherine and de la Montagne, Berkowitz said.
The private retailer operates more than 400 mainly mall-based stores in the United States and Canada, including two existing locations in Ontario and one at the West Edmonton Mall.
He said he puts Forever 21, "one of the top performers in retail the past two years," in the same category as two popular international players that recently arrived here - Zara of Spain and H&M of Sweden.
The three retailers are known for quickly getting inexpensively priced, ripped-from-the-runway fashions on their sales floors.
Gilles Fortin, owner of the Tristan & America chain, said there is "definitely a trend" of all the fashion firms wanting to be in Montreal, especially on Ste. Catherine, which he describes as one of the busiest streets in North America for retail.
"We were about two years behind Toronto (in attracting U.S. fashion retailers) because of certain fears about (French) signage, but with the arrival of Forever 21, the big international players are almost all here now," Fortin said.
Louis Burgos, senior vice-president for Quebec at property management firm Cushman & Wakefield LePage, acknowledged the economy is more stable here than south of the border, adding that "Quebecers have always been very fashion conscious and spend more disposable income on clothes" than elsewhere.
Nathalie Verge, vice-president of operations for the Retail Council of Quebec, said the group's survey found Montrealers spent 9.4 per cent of their disposable income on clothes last year - more than 50 per cent more than the Canadian average per population.

My Zipia items are finally here! + Review
Loong story, I got them last week but didn't have time or was too lazy to show them off here : D. I only got my items after meeting with the survey peron for the second time and this time she didn't ditch me yaay.
I love all the three items!Shipping + Paypal fee + Conversion makes them a lil more expensive though but it's worth it in my opinion.
It was the first time that I ordered something from Zipia so I was curious how their quality would be. Well, it's not top notch quality and not bad either. The hoodies are thinner than I expected, not your AE hoodie quality but they're cute that makes it forget about their thickness I guess. The vest that I ordered fits me perfectly as opposed to the cuts here where everything is too big for me and I am size small by the way. Their free size is pretty small made for skinny people. All in one I would definitely order from Zipia again when the canadian dollar does better.

Too much walking
I went out with friends today. Met D. at Place des Arts, it was so sunny and hot!The World Film Festival started today and it's good that the weather is so beautiful because they show free screenings outside (even if it's old old films).
We walked to eaton center to meet X. afterwards. I passed by the Body Shop to get these with much stress and hassle haha.

which costed 9$ in total. I saved 10$ with the coupon weeee. I showed the lady the coupon and she said that normally it has to have the name and email address on it but she said she'll still accept it and would make an exception. In my mind: ^__________^. Cashier Guy:"Normally we only accept the orginal coupon as people seem to print the coupon off the internet on a certain site but we'll make an exception for you". <---I printed it from that site aha.
I looked stressed my friend told me.
We went to magic at Guy afterwards where I had my pineapple BBT. After that we walked to the Korean Grocery store near atwater where we bought Kim Bab and I bought dried seaweed also.Then we walked back to the EV building at Guy to wait for a friend.It was 7pm by then already. Finally we walked from Guy to Chinatown (walking back and forth 1000x times today?) and landed in L2. I didn't order any BBT, 1 is enough for the day and had chicken with rice instead.Didn't finish the food boo.
I didn't bring my cam so no pictures, i can't find my cam >_<.
I must not shop until the Guess Warehouse sale,yup yup.

H&M opens on St-Catherine tomorrow!
Weee, I just went to downtown yesterday and saw posters plastering the metro stations that H&M is having its grand opening at 1100 St Catherine tomorrow at noon.
The good thing about it, the first 250 customers in line will receive a gift card between 10$ - 200$ randomly. I'm not sure if I want to go to downtown at 12pm for that.I'm happy because I don't have to go all the way to Rockland Center or Galerie D'anjou anymore.

Toronto Part 2: Pacific Mall - Cuteness overload
Trust me, you'll feel like heaven here if you like asian clothing. There's hundreds of stores selling cute japanese, korean,hk fashion. The only downside is that it is not really cheap. Price ranges from 10-30$ for cheap and 50- 100$ for expensive pieces. Since I'll be going to Vietnam in two weeks I didn't buy any clothing there was we had ony 1 hour to shop. It opens at 12pm and closes at 9pm but we went on sunday so it closed at 8pm.
It's the largest chinese shopping mall in north america.
There's lots of electronics, illegal pirated DVDS (Yes, I saw a screener version of Kungfu Panda there WTH o___O , cute plush and of course clothing and shoes!
As for food there's a food court and there's also BBT at every corner of the mall and not to forget spicy fishballs, yummy! They're 1.50$ for a cup with 5 balls each. They're really good as a snack. BBT is 2.50$ for a small one, 1$ cheaper than Mtl!Grrr, why is food so expensive here.
I would definitely go back to Pacific mall next time if i had the chance.

As for food there's a food court and there's also BBT at every corner of the mall and not to forget spicy fishballs, yummy! They're 1.50$ for a cup with 5 balls each. They're really good as a snack. BBT is 2.50$ for a small one, 1$ cheaper than Mtl!Grrr, why is food so expensive here.
I would definitely go back to Pacific mall next time if i had the chance.
